Now thats FIFA.........The End

Mr Jingo in the world of pieces

i am very pleased with the way my game concept came together in the end, i have achieved my goal which was to try and create a complete aesthetic for the game, i believe the character and environment work well together with neither finding itself overbearing. at first when i received my image a was very focused on trying to find different ways to take this project, I'm pleased with my outcome, the idea of deconstruction and fragmentation of a world is a attractive concept and i think Ive done it justice.

my main worry from the project is not being able to make my vision come to life from my sketches on paper but i think they are almost exact, which i wanted, this is maybe because when making them in Maya, i didn't use any image planes, i literally made them from experimenting with Maya, first time Ive ever textured a character and i am proud of it, my characters are what I'm the most satisfied with because i do feel like they actually have character and hopefully you can kind of tell what personality's they have. hopefully from what i have achieved is the ultimate goal which is to make people want to play the, so far its reception from family and Friends shows signs of joy.

in terms of the brief, having to create a game using the image, Ive gone for a more intellectual root by using diffrent aspects of of Mondrian's life in art and socially instead of using the aesthetic. His his work as evolved to me was a perfect opportunity to capture, because his work bas become so deconstructed and fragmented from his impressionist beginning my concept just fell into place.

Seabed Level

this is a conecept for another level, where colin zeal has sucked out all of the ocean using the large red ball bumps, the sharks do no like this and hold you responsible and begin to attack you, you aim is the same as any other level in the game, to collect the fragments, destroy the machines and releace the pices of you planet which are held in the yellow cage.

Level Enviroment Concept

This is a concept for one of my levels, its location is of a quiet country area with a few houses but because the Zeal cooperation are wanting to deconstruct all of the surrounding and scenery, the quiet location has turned into a building site almost, whereby trees are being taken down, turf is being rolled up, house's are being taken, even the sea and clouds.

the top image shows a birds eye view of the level, the yellow pieces are fragments of jingo's world which is being taken apart, and the red dots are where the rat packers will be standing. your goal as mr jingo is to collect all of the stray pieces and get rid of the machines which are deconstructng the scenery. at the end of the level will we a cage which holds a huge collection of fragments which u need to salvage.

Aesthetic Research Conclusion

Visually my environments have been quite heavily influenced by the tom and jerry cartoons, i like the watercolour look and the use of pastel colours instead of the bright high saturated colours, i think this along with the plasticine style and creativity from the Trap door and Stop it and tidy up cartoons, they will work well together producing something quite unique.
